To grow up healthy, children need to sit less and play more
According to recent World Health Organization recommendations, young children under five must spend less time seated in front of computers or constrained in strollers and chairs, receive better-quality sleep, and engage in more physical playtime to thrive.
Also, Dr. Fiona Bull, the program manager for surveillance and population-based prevention of noncommunicable diseases at WHO, states that improving physical activity, reducing sedentary time, and ensuring quality sleep in young children will enhance their physical, mental health and well-being and help prevent childhood obesity and associated diseases later in life.
